Apologies to all my friends.
I really must speak out for the sake of a great composer: Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Dude was a film and art composer in the golden days until he died in 1966. He taught some other really great composers like John Williams (yup), Henry Mancini (Pink Panther guy), and Andre Previn (also world renowned conductor). The reason we don’t hear more of this guy is because he was writing melodies during a time when melody was a dirty word. You don’t see his name in a ton of movie credits because he did a lot of ghost writing. Dude was a monster.
