Apparently this Peter Grimes character is not a likable guy. He’s got this whole town out for his blood because he’s had two apprentices die mysteriously. The town, minus the schoolteacher and Balstrode, say it’s murder. Grimes says it’s not. I’ve heard Grimes described as “mentally unhinged.” Personally, I kinda like the guy.
